Our Story

11525 Recordings was born out of a simple frustration — too many talented artists were getting left out of the creative conversation. sOuL from the O had been on a mission to change that, not just for himself but for the visual artists, musicians, and voices that deserved a platform.

Combined with a deep love affair with Hip-Hop and a belief that the most honest music comes from people who build their own lanes, the next step became obvious: build your own outlet. And that's when 11525 Recordings came about.

Based in Oakland, CA, 11525 Recordings is an independent label committed to releasing music that is rooted in culture and driven by craft. With Queens and Pharaohs earning critical praise and an upcoming Native Tongues tribute EP with DJ Platurn in the works — a collab that earned a co-sign from Prince Paul himself — the label is just getting started.
